Hey buddy!
Yeah I’m still in Grand Falls! Love the job….lol….this is not a job this is full time fun!!! I’m in my 4th month and doing well. Astral so far has been great, along with the people here in the town! I get a lot of callers everyday so it makes the show a lot of fun!
Yeah, doing pretty much everything you taught us Robert. Producing commercials, show promo’s, imaging, voice tracking some weekends for our station and another station out of WoodStock N.B., lots of show prep, remotes, attend functions, man you name it, I do it!
Just after I started, the morning guy got another gig within Astral so he moved and I had to run the morning show for a month till they got a new guy! That was a great experience, minus the 4am awakenings!!! I don’t think you can ever get used to that! It made feel pretty good that they had faith in me to run the morning show til the new guy arrived.
Man, I am so glad I went to your school! I’d still be unhappy if I never made that phone call to you last year…lol…you told me I could work anywhere in radio and you were absolutely right! I actually love the music we play (very similar to Virgin Radio)…who knows maybe I’ll end up back in Montreal one day lol….and you are absolutely right too Robert when you taught us “it’s all about local”…first thing they said to me when I got here! I said “no problem”.
….and feel free to listen in, I’m an hour ahead…I’m on 1-5pm your time….but hey don’t be too hard on me….I screw up every now and then …and make fun of myself lol…www.k93.ca
