Voice Course

The principle objective of this course is the preparation and completion of an MP3 DEMO to submit to professional talent agencies for employment in the voice over broadcast industry. This unique course is also designed for students who want to speak English with more clarity and more confidence and improve voice quality and articulation.

Classes consist of instruction in voice and microphone techniques and voice over training in radio studios. Public speaking included. Small classes, (maximum 5) and a one student-to-studio ratio, allow students to apply their theory in a professional state of the art environment. Immediate evaluation and suggestions are provided by professional broadcasters on a one-to-one basis.

The DEMO consists of an introduction track, a selection of produced spots (commercials), corporate and/or documentary read, and character voices. This one month course takes place in the downtown studios of The Montreal Radio and Television School. Students benefit from several hours of extra studio time.

The professionally produced demo contains the best of the students’ class performance. It is presented to the graduating student burned onto our school CD for hard disc storage.

LENGTH OF COURSE: Twice a week for 6 weeks + off class studio time. Wednesday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
